In the impeccable hyper-realistic paintings of Matthew Quick, classic sculptures are brought raucously into the present through playful sabotage. Caesar’s laurel is replaced with an orange traffic cone and a colourful SpongeBob Band-Aid adorns David’s marbled hand, as Quick subverts these historical works.
