The Lester Prize Youth Awards is a prestigious Australian portraiture competition for high school students (Years 7–12), with finalists exhibited at the WA Museum Boola Bardip in Perth.
The Lester Prize Youth Awards exhibition is held in the Old Goal building at the Western Australian Museum Boola Bardip from 24 April to 19 July 2026, showcasing the works of 30 young artist finalists.
In support of the Lester Prize Youth Awards, the City of Perth Urban Screens exhibit the finalist works daily from May to 30 June.
About the screenings
The Northbridge Piazza Screen hosts a variety of events, from formal showings of feature films, complete with bean bag seating, to more casual gatherings for sporting events and exhibitions like this one. Visitors can relax on the lawn, savour the renowned culinary delights of Northbridge, or enjoy a stroll along James Street, taking in the vibrant neighbourhood.
The Northbridge Piazza Superscreen and Forrest Place Arts Screen are initiatives of the City of Perth.
