Tjanpi Desert Weavers

This fresh exhibition showcases the wonderful works of the talented weavers from 26 remote communities on the NPY lands, which covers approximately 350,000 square kilometres across the tri-state (WA, SA, NT) border region of Central Australia. While out collecting grass, the women are also able to spend time on Country and maintain their culture through gathering food, hunting, performing (cultural song and dance), and teaching their children. This collection includes photographs of the artists at work in the spectacular landscapes of the region.
