Sky Lines

Sky Lines features Western Australian photographer and poet Coral Carter’s striking photographs of Australian summer skies, set against a backdrop of single-line poems from a diverse range of female Western Australian poets.

I have been taking one photo of the sky every day, at anytime, wherever I am since 26 May 2010. I began the project when I returned to hometown of Kalgoorlie to live and wanted to share with my brother the wide skies we remembered during childhood.

The sky is beautiful, free and always available. Look up!

My heartfelt thanks to my collaborators, who for the love of poetry wrote a single line to a selected sky photo.
